Engineering Summer Camps
Each summer universities across the country put on camps for students in a wide variety of fields. In college I was lucky enough to work for several engineering-focused camps.
If you hear of any summer camps that I can add to my list below, please send me an email with information about the camp.

Missouri University of Science and Technology
My alma mater, Missouri S&T, is the ONLY university in the US to offer an explosives camp for high school students. Each summer students from across the nation come to MS&T to learn explosives safety and uses. The week culminates in a firework show, prepared by the students, on Friday night. Space is limited so apply early! You can find more information below.

Other Camps of Note
Seeds of Peace
Seeds of Peace inspires and equips new generations of leaders from regions of conflict with the relationships, understanding, and skills needed to advance lasting peace.
I have worked with two alumni of the Seeds of Peace program. They are two of the most remarkable students I have had the privilege of teaching. One was a boy from Gaza Strip who was shot in the back by an Israeli soldier as a teenager. Today he is preparing himself to be a player for peace in the region. The second was a boy from Kabul, Afghanistan.
